South Asians in Poland consist mainly of Indians. There are some Pakistanis living in Poland also. The Pakistanis speak Urdu mainly and follow Islam. There are Pakistani restaurants in Poland.
Indians began coming to Poland just before the 1990s when Poland became a non-communist country and there were better chances of employment. Many Indians are business people who came after Poland became a member of the European Union early this century. Many Poles left Poland to go to wealthier European countries and Poland agreed to have more Indians coming to live and work here.
