The Vietnamese in the Czech Republic have the largest immigrant population in the country. They have grown a lot in numbers this century. Nguyen is the most common Vietnamese surname. There is a crime problem amongst some of the Vietnamese living there.
The Vietnamese began coming to the Czech Republic in communist times encouraged by the Vietnamese government so they could gain skills and return to Vietnam. After the end of communism many Vietnamese decided to stay in the country. The earlier Vietnamese worked selling items at markets but the Vietnamese who came later are largely self-employed.
Most Vietnamese in the Czech Republic live in the capital Prague. Some live in Varnsdorf. The Vietnamese are part of the Prague procedure for national minorities. The Vietnamese who came here later are well educated.
In the Czech Republic, those from Vietnam speak Vietnamese and Czech. They are Buddhists by religion.
* Scripture Prayers for the Vietnamese in Czechia.
* Pray that the Vietnamese Christians will lead the others among them in the Czech Republic to salvation.
* Pray that those involved in crime will end that and come to Jesus Christ.
