What Are Their Lives Like?

The Galleban people live in rural villages and small towns, focusing on farming and small-scale trading. They cultivate crops such as wheat, rice, and vegetables. Their communities emphasize strong family bonds and mutual support. Their diet includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, featuring staples like rice, lentils, vegetables and meat. They enjoy traditional dishes such as biryani, dal, and various local curries. Weddings among the Galleban people are elaborate and deeply rooted in Muslim traditions.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Galleban people are Sunni Muslims who put their faith in the sovereignty of Allah. Like most South Asian Muslims, their form of Islam is affected by traditional Hindu practices and rituals.

What Are Their Needs?

There are few if any Christ followers in the Galleban homeland. They will need to hear the gospel from outsiders. Radio is difficult in a mountainous area.
