Tumbuka in Zimbabwe

The Tumbuka or Phoka is a small group of people originally from around the Nyika Plateau of the northern Malawi.
Currently, they have spread to Zambia, but they are mostly found between the Nkhamanga Kingdom of Rumphi on the south, Tonga on the east and Ngonde on the North.
Basically they are a quiet people who depend on subsistence farming and hunting.
Originally they believed mostly in magic and witchcraft, but with the coming of civilization that has changed. Today many are Christians.
