In each Latin American country, including Argentina, some intermarried between the European colonizers and the indigenous peoples. Their children were called mestizos, and culturally they could be European, Indigenous, or somewhere in between.
Some Europeans remained separate from the indigenous peoples. They might identify with their country, while a small minority identify with Spain. Argentina is a Latin American country with a high percentage of White people, since there were not many indigenous peoples in this part of the Americas when the Spanish arrived.
Most live in Argentina, but there is a sizable diaspora in the United States and Spain. Others live in Mexico, Uruguay, Denmark, Italy, or France.
A small number of Argentines came in the 1950s to live in Las Vegas. They were well-educated; some were scientists. Many more arrived in the U.S. after the 1974 coup to escape an oppressive government. Most White Argentines in the U.S. came in the 1990s. They didn t have as much education as the early immigrants. They gravitated to New York City where there is already a sizable Italian population. Others live in New Jersey, Florida, or California.
Argentinians are more likely to have a college degree than Anglo-Americans. They have excelled in acting, the arts, athletics, music, and journalism.
White Argentinians are usually Roman Catholic, but they also have a strong Evangelical minority, especially in Argentina.
They need revival fire to bless their churches, families, and neighborhoods.
Pray for a Holy Spirit-led revival to bless White Argentines in the U.S., leading them to a richer spiritual life in Christ.
Pray for them to become a powerful force for discipleship among those without the gospel throughout Latin America.
Pray for the Lord to bless them materially and spiritually as they obey Christ.
