When the British forces conquered the area in 1834, many of the Khaikheli soldiers were executed. Families were forcibly removed to distant parts of the British Raj. During of the time of the Partition in 1947, many of the Khaikheli returned to their ancestral home in Sindh, Pakistan.
The Khaikheli see being Sunni Islam as part of their basic identity. There are currently no known believers among the Khaikheli.
Medical workers can come and help the rural Khaikheli with their physical needs. Teachers can come and educate their children. Believers in Karachi and Hyderabad can befriend the Khaikheli and tell them the good news about Isa or Jesus. A complete Bible and the JESUS Film are available in their main language of Sindhi.
