The Sindhi Khaikheli are a warrior tribal people who live in the Sindh Province of southeast Pakistan. They claim to be descendant of the Samma Dynasty who ruled the Sindh region from the 14th to 16th century. When the British forces conquered the area in 1834, many of the Khaikheli soldiers were executed. Families were forcibly removed to distant parts of the British Raj. During of the time of the Partition in 1947, many of the Khaikheli returned to their ancestral home in Sindh, Pakistan.
The Khaikheli see being Sunni Islam as part of their basic identity. There are currently no known believers among the Khaikheli.
Medical workers can come and help the rural Khaikheli with their physical needs. Teachers can come and educate their children. Believers in Karachi and Hyderabad can befriend the Khaikheli and tell them the good news about Isa or Jesus. A complete Bible and the JESUS Film are available in their main language of Sindhi.
Pray that the Lord will soon bring many Khaikheli to Himself. Pray that they are built up in the faith and that growing evangelical churches are planted. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give the Khaikheli people love for God's Word and a desire to spread its influence. Pray for laborers to sow God's Word to persons and households of peace, which will in turn catalyze movements to Christ among the Khaikheli people. Pray for the Khaikheli people to be delivered from their fear of Christendom and to embrace God's blessing through his Word for their families and communities.
