The Barua are also known as Kyein, and they are a subgroup of the Rohingya people. Their language is a Rohingya dialect. Most live in the southern towns of Rakhine state; Thandwe, Kyaukpyu and Ramree.
The Barua deal with prejudice and persecution. This was especially intense during the Rohingya crisis. Many have fled to safer places in Thailand and other countries.
Unlike the greater Rohingya people who are Muslim, the Barua are Buddhist.
The Barua people need to put their hope in the King of kings, realizing that he is the one who gives them worth and dignity.
Pray for loving workers to go to the Barua people until there are disciples who make more disciples.
Pray the Lord will prepare the hearts of the Barua to understand and to believe the gospel.
Pray for the Lord to bless the Barua people with adequate education and medical facilities.
Pray for the Lord to bless the Barua people so abundantly that they will see he is the only one worthy of praise and worship.
