Ulithian people can be found in United States, Micronesia, and Guam.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The main economy of Ulithian people is fishing, however, this way of life is becoming endangered, resulting in young Ulithians leaving home for Western schooling. More and more children are not learning the traditional ways from their parents. This lack of quality time spent with parents has led to lack of traditional knowledge and understanding.

Women typically handle the agricultural duties, while men fish.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Their traditional religion was based on spirits and ancestral ghosts. Magic was also incorporated into the everyday life. Sociological studies showed that by 1960, after decades of influence by outsiders, the traditional religion had all but vanished, to be replaced by various forms of Christianity.

What Are Their Needs?

Their greatest need is to understand the infinite love of almighty God, and his provisional payment of the penalty for their sins.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to give Ulithian people teachable and understanding hearts.
Pray that a strong movement of the Holy Spirit will bring entire families into a rich experience of God's blessing.
Pray for Ulithian families to be drawn by the Holy Spirit to seek forgiveness, and to understand the adequacy of Christ's work on the cross.
Pray for a discipleship movement that will result in the blessings of Christ reaching all of Micronesia and other Pacific Islands in a new and fresh way.
