The Sino Burmese have lived in China for a long time and are also called Burmese Chinese.
The city of Mandalay is important for trading and Chinese businessmen have become very involved in the economy of this city. Many have come from Yunnan province in China.
Sports such as football/soccer have become very big in Myanmar and the Chinese are involved. Most Sino Burmese live in the big cities. They have businesses, restaurants, stores, money exchange and manufacturing enterprises. They also have links with big Chinese corporations in things like shipbuilding.
Most Chinese in Myanmar speak in Burmese. The more educated can speak Mandarin and English. They tend to eat similar foods to that in China.
Their religion is mainly Buddhism. There are many Buddhist Chinese temples in the capital Rangoon or Yangon.
The Sino-Burmese need spiritual hunger and a willingness to find the only Savior.
Pray that the Sino Burmese look to Jesus Christ rather than making money as their main goal.
Pray that gospel materials will bring them to salvation in Jesus Christ.
Pray for Holy Spirit-sent workers to take the only Savior to the Sino-Burmese people.
