The Eshira, also called, Chira, live in Gabon, a tiny West African nation. Their language is Sira.
They moved to their current location after losing a war with the Bakeles and other tribes. They settled and took slaves which they sold to others. Some grew tobacco and Raphia cloth. Smallpox decimated them from 1865 till the end of the 1800s.
The Eshiras live in the grasslands and forests. They probably have livestock and grow crops.
Most are Christian, either Roman Catholic or Evangelical. They can be used of God to take Christ to the nations.
Eshiras need the spiritual hunger it will take to come closer to the Lord, and be guided by his light.
Pray for the Lord to touch Eshiras in such a way they will feel compelled to disciple others.
Pray for them to be blessed spiritually and financially, giving them hearts filled with praise and adoration for the King of kings.
Pray for the Lord to touch every Eshira family and community with his goodness and mercy.
