Budong-Budong is one of Indonesia’s smallest ethnic groups. They live mainly in the Budong-Budong district of West Sulawesi. Pitu Ulunna Salu is their language; it is not related to any of the nearby ones. Very few still speak it.

The livelihood of the Budong-Budong is based on hunting, fishing and farming.

The Budong-Budong are officially Muslim, but they are also involved with their pre-Islamic religious system.

They face threats from loggers, miners and others who wish to exploit the Budong-Budong homeland.

Pray for the Budong-Budong culture to be renewed and enhanced by a work of the Holy Spirit and shaped into a God-centered and God-honoring mold.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to move among their family and community leaders to seek his face and enjoy his blessings.

Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers who will be compelled to nurture a disciple making movement among the Budong-Budong people.

Pray that soon the Budong-Budong people will have faith that will lead them to live honorable lives that will draw others to the savior.

Pray for spiritual discernment and a hunger for true spirituality.
