Summary

Logol people live in the Nuba Mountains. They have their own language, Logol, within the Kordofanian language group. Because there are about 100 languages in the Nuba region, most also speak Sudanese Arabic as a trade language. Logol people raise livestock and grow grain, similar to the practices of the people around them.

Ministry Obstacles

Logal people must deal with the consequences of constant fighting in Sudan. Such a situation brings about internal "war" as they deal with death and destruction. In some cases, these situations give people greater spiritual hunger. In other cases, they blame God and want nothing to do with him.

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

1 John 1:5

Pray

Pray for today’s people group to perceive the holiness and justice of God and to be led by the Spirit to repent of their sins.

Pray that the uncertainty of life will drive Logal people into the loving arms of the only Savior. Pray for the Lord to give dreams of the victorious Christ to their elders and fathers. Pray for the Lord to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the Logol people and that they will respond with gratitude and faith. Pray for the Lord to send out workers anointed by the Holy Spirit to the Logol people.
