Summary
The Fanda live in nine villages in Dilling County, located in the remote Nuba Mountains in the state of South Kordofan, Sudan. They speak Nding and Sudanese Arabic. They cultivate sorghum and corn and raise cattle, sheep, and goats. During and after the rainy season, the Fanda have special access to fresh cow's milk, which they drink hot, fresh off charcoal fires. They have no known schools or health facilities.
Ministry Obstacles
The Fanda are entirely Muslim. Few, if any, know a Christian in this country where Christians are considered enemies.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:3
Pray
Pray that this people group to recognize their own spiritual bankruptcy and come to Christ for the riches of His forgiveness.
Pray for the Lord to send dreams and visions of the Lord to Fanda family leaders. Pray for loving workers to be thrust out into each of the three Fanda villages. Pray that soon there will come a day when Fanda Christians will disciple others. Pray for them to encounter Christians who demonstrate the love and mercy of the Lord in practical ways.
