Summary
The word "sila" means stone. Silawat do stonework and work in agriculture. Silawat are a scheduled caste. When the father dies, sons inherit the family property. The Silawat send their children to school, but due to their low literacy level, the gospel will need to be presented in oral form. There is an abundance of Hindi language gospel materials that they can understand.
Ministry Obstacles
The states in which they live are highly unreached with the gospel. Silawats have no Christians within or outside their community who can tell them about the only Savior.

Pray
Pray that many from this people group will understand that God is sovereign, and they must obey Him alone.
Pray that God will give them dreams and visions, resulting in disciples who will make more disciples, ultimately leading to church plants. Pray for the Lord to raise up and send out workers. Pray that gospel recordings and the JESUS Film will lead many to Christ. Pray for workers and intercessors.
