Summary

Gazi farmers dig wells and build canals because the climate is semi-desert. Wheat, cotton, and pistachios are still growing. However, droughts and poor canal maintenance have forced many to move to the city. In urban environments, Gazi work in construction, manufacturing, services, and make handicrafts. Examples of jobs are stone cutting, brick making, and carpet weaving. The Gazi could use help with arid agricultural development. Developing the handicraft industry would also benefit the community.

Ministry Obstacles

There may be no Christ followers among them or any of their neighbors. How will they hear without a preacher?

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

Pray

Pray that the believers in this people group keep their spiritual focus on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to draw the Gazi to Jesus through dreams and visions. Pray that Christian radio and TV broadcasts may reach their hearts. Pray that will listen and respond. Pray that tent makers with agricultural and entrepreneurial skills will go to the Gazis. Pray for a movement of the Holy Spirit that will result in church plants and discipleship movements.
