Summary
Sometimes a tribe is defined by its language. That is true of the Jomang, AKA, Talodi in Sudan. Most speak Sudanese Arabic, so this language might not last for more than two more generations. They live in southern Sudan where there is hostility between Muslim and Christian tribes.
Ministry Obstacles
Muslims like the Jomang speakers are often at odds with the Christianized peoples in Sudan and South Sudan. Christians are viewed as enemies, mainly because of conflict over land rights and political issues. How will people like the Jomang be willing to hear the gospel, since they view Christians as enemies?
By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

Pray
Pray for the believers in today’s people group to live righteously for the Lord and to love their brothers and sisters.
Pray for the Lord to make a way for the Jomang to hear and respond to Jesus Christ with their hearts and their heads. Pray that they will embrace Jesus Christ no matter the cost. Pray that the Lord will show himself powerful and loving to the Jomang. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give Jomang teachable and understanding hearts. Pray for Arabic gospel materials to become easily available to every Jomang family. Pray for Jomang family leaders to have dreams and visions of the risen, victorious Christ.
