Volunteer as a Tech Developer
Technology is rapidly changing the landscape of missions and how Joshua Project gathers, manages and presents people group data.
Use your programming, design, analysis, data or AI skills to advance the Kingdom of God.
Tech volunteers are needed to help with numerous projects:
- Analysis of Joshua Project websites and app analytics to provide useful insight to help determine steps forward in a complete website redesign starting in 2025.
- Help redesign, develop and upgrade current Frontier Peoples website.
- Create automated marketing campaigns that will send customized prayer plans to subscribers. Users could sign up for plans for specific countries that would send them an email once a week for 10-15 weeks featuring key unreached peoples in those countries.
- Create an online tool for writers, editors and translators to use to create and improve text content in a format ready for import into the Joshua Project database.
- Help expand Joshua Project AI understanding and usage. Develop a bot to assist website visitors or create a Joshua Project specific ChatGPT AI bot.
- Experiment with crowd sourcing for data gathering and updating. Add a wiki-type component to the Joshua Project website allowing the collection of data from many users and various perspectives regarding specific people groups.
- Develop Tableau or Power BI presentations of Joshua Project data. Modernize and enhance Joshua Project's presentation of critical unreached peoples information.
