You can't pray for a people you can't name.
Your congregation already gives to missions and already prays. What is usually missing is the specifics: which peoples still have no church, where they live, and who is working among them.
That is what Joshua Project maintains: a profile for every people group we can identify. About 3.5 billion people live in groups where the gospel has yet to take root, and a profile is only as good as the last time someone checked it.
3.5 Billion People in unreached groups
The research
Somebody has to keep checking
Thousands of churches, agencies, and missionaries plan from Joshua Project data. Populations move, languages shift, churches start and close, and none of it shows up in a profile until a researcher goes and confirms it.
The data stays free for everyone who uses it. That is deliberate, and it means the research runs on gifts rather than fees.
What a partnership looks like
A line in your missions budget, somewhere between $500 and $5,000 a year.
A standing line item, not a campaign
Most partner churches give annually out of a budget they already have. There is no campaign to run and nothing for your members to sign up for.
In exchange your congregation follows particular peoples by name instead of carrying a general burden for the unreached.
Updated profiles for the people groups your congregation prays through
Research updates you can use in services, small groups, and newsletters

The 2026 Challenge
500 frontier people group profiles, rebuilt from the field.
Why 2026
New field software lets a researcher file a complete profile update from where the work is, instead of sending notes back to be typed up. That is what makes 500 updates in a single year possible.
All 500 are frontier groups, the ones it is hardest to get current information about.
One profile update costs $500. All 500 come to $250,000.
Where the $250,000 comes from
A large number or a small one, depending on how many churches turn up.
Any one of these covers it
- 500 churches $500 a year
- 250 churches $1,000 a year
- 100 churches $2,500 a year
- 50 churches $5,000 a year
Same result each way. The only open question is which line your church is on.
For your congregation
Members pray for peoples they can name, learn something about them over time, and see what the next research pass turned up. It gives a budget line a face.
For your church
The unreached matter to God. This is one way to make them a fixed part of your church's life rather than a once-a-year emphasis.
The profiles finished in 2026 are what churches and agencies will be planning from for years afterward.
Become a Great Commission Partner
Give once or set up an annual gift. Both fund field research on frontier people groups.
Every people group has a name
Somebody has to go find out what it is, and what has changed there since anyone last asked. Your church can pay for that.
