Position Summary: Manage the Joshua Project database by gathering, integrating and managing the most accurate, up-to-date people group, church planting progress, and ministry resource information available.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the Joshua Project data system.
- Modify data structures, queries, reports and forms as needed.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of people group data.
- Develop data management policies and procedures.
- Prepare in-house data for web presentation.
- Cross-reference Joshua Project data to other people group and Great Commission datasets.
- Monthly review and incorporation of data from other global people group and missions datasets.
- Periodically update ministry resource availability.
- Quarterly configure and incorporate Omid South Asia data into Joshua Project database.
- Annually update all population figures based on latest UN country information.
- Proactively connect with major data partners such as Ethnologue, Jesus Film, IMB, MANI, National researchers etc.
- Seek out new data sources.
- Provide information management assistance and counseling to other Great Commission ministries.
- Respond to users’ email data inquiries and inputs.
Position Summary: Responsible for Joshua Project IT infrastructure and website / mobile app development and maintenance.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot server, workstations, network and backup systems.
- Develop and implement plan to move Joshua Project infrastructure to Cloud base server.
- Management of Joshua Project Microsoft tenancy (MS 365, email, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Hardware and software purchasing and upgrading.
- Manage web domain registrations, hosting and security.
- Maintain and enhance existing Joshua Project websites.
- Prepare in-house data for web presentation, refresh website data from master database.
- Create maps and graphics for websites as needed.
- Monitor Google Analytics for web usage and statistics to maximize web presence.
- Promptly address website threats or outages.
- Evaluate and interface with outside consultants for mobile app and web development as needed.
- Evaluate potential web development companies for redesign of all Joshua Project websites.
- Interfacing with IT staff of other ministries in the same office building as Joshua Project.
- Oversee web development volunteers, interns, special projects.
- Develop IT projects for various Hack-A-Thon events.
