Berti in Sudan
BUR-tuh
The country of Sudan has experienced violence and upheavals for decades. The Berti live in the Darfur region of western Sudan. They herd livestock and raise crops and they try to avoid the violence that plagues their land. However, intertribal wars have entered their region. If there are followers of Jesus today among the Berti tribe, they need people to assist them to grow spiritually in Christ. Gospel radio can be a helpful tool for spiritual growth. The Berti also need access to modern medicine and clean water.
Ministry Obstacles Sudan is generally hostile to Christian witness. Access to the Berti homeland is limited. There are many dangers and difficulties.
