The Barela are a part of the Bhil group. They are a scheduled tribe who live in the state of Madhya Pradesh in Khargone and other places of that state. They speak Rathi among themselves.
The Barela are not vegetarians but they do not eat beef or pork. Unleavened bread is eaten by them. They have two subdivisions. Hinduism is their religion. Ghinshri is their clan deity.
The Barela work mainly in agriculture and laboring. Their children work. Family planning is used by them.
Pray that Indian Christians will lead the Barela to Jesus Christ.
Pray that gospel materials will lead them to salvation.
