Introduction / History

The Nachhiring people are also called the "Nachiring Khas" or "Nachiring. They are an ethnic group in Nepal with their own language which is part of the Tibeto-Burman branch of languages.

What Are Their Lives Like?

They have always been farmers who grow rice and raise livestock, specifically chickens, goats and buffalo.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Nachhiring people live in a Hindu country with a strong Buddhist minority. However, they have their own religious ways.

They are trying to preserve their language and culture as the forces of globalization enter their homeland.

Pray for the Nachhiring culture to be renewed and enhanced by a work of the Holy Spirit and shaped into a God-centered and God-honoring mold.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to move among their family and community leaders to seek his face and enjoy his blessings.
