Introduction / History

Silesian is the language of a people group in straddles Poland. Most likely their ancestors were the ancient Celts.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The Silesians work as farmers, coal miners and factory workers.
Silesians would like to be independent from Poland, and there have been court cases. This independence movement is weaker now that communism is not draining their economy.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Silesian people are almost all Christian. Most have a secular mindset, but the church is still the place to be married or buried.

What Are Their Needs?

Pray for a Christ-centered revival among all Silesian peoples.
Pray for spiritual hunger that will lead them to seek and find the living Christ.
Pray for Silesian disciples who will make more disciples.
