Introduction / History

Lasgerdi is the name of a people group who speak the Lasgerdi language which is a variant of the Semnani language. It is a very small tribe, and Farsi will probably replace their language in the coming decades.

What Are Their Lives Like?

We know very little about the lifestyles of the Lasgerdis, but they probably herd livestock like nearby people. They make handcrafted goods such as pots and baskets for their needs.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Lasgerdis are entirely Muslim.

What Are Their Needs?

The Lasgerdis need the chance to find the only Savior, but they will probably need to hear the gospel in a language they understand, from people who speak their own language.

Prayer Points

Pray for the Lord to speed the day when the Lasgerdi have the chance to hear of the wonderful grace of Jesus.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to prepare the hearts of Lasgerdi leaders to welcome those who bear the gospel.
Pray for the Lord to raise up the right people to translate the JESUS Film into the Lasgerdi language.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out the right people to go to them.
