Introduction / History

Indigenous Hindus were forcibly converted to Islam and given the derisive name "Mussali." Today they have low status wherever they live in South Asia, including Afghanistan.

Where Are they Located?

There is a small number of Mussalis in Afghanistan. The majority of them live in Pakistan's Punjab Province, and India's state of Rajasthan.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The Mussali people are looked down upon by other communities. They are unhappy with their lot and they want more out of life.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Mussalis are Muslims. All they can do is put their faith in Allah, and hope that he will reward them on the day of judgment. Their good deeds must outweigh their bad deeds.

What Are Their Needs?

The Mussali people need opportunities to get the education they need to rise out of poverty.

Prayer Points

Pray that the Mussali people will have the blessing of spiritual hunger that will lead them to seek and find Jesus Christ.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers to this untended field.
Pray for the Lord to raise up the Mussali communities with both physical and spiritual blessings that will show other communities what He can do for any people who submit to His ways.
