Mukkuvan is a Muslim people group that lives by the coastal areas of Kerala in southwestern India.
What Are Their Lives Like?
They are mostly fishermen. People know them for their skills in boat making and fishing.

The Mukkuvan are mostly Sunni Muslim. They also have their own unique religious practices which date back to pre-Islamic days.
What Are Their Needs?
The Mukkuvan need the opportunity to get a better education so they can rise out of poverty. They are in the process of organizing themselves to protect their economic and educational interests.
