Life centers on swidden farming, with rice, root crops, and forest resources sustaining communities. Villages are remote, and families are tightly knit, with elders guiding decisions. Trade with lowlanders occurs occasionally. Food includes upland rice, wild game, and gathered plants, and community life includes simple rituals tied to planting and harvest.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The majority of Western Tawbuid identify as Christian, while others retain traditional animistic beliefs involving spirits and rituals connected to agriculture and daily life. These beliefs often blend, with ancestral and nature spirits still influential.

What Are Their Needs?

Access to clear biblical teaching in their heart language would strengthen understanding and faith. Culturally rooted discipleship could help believers grow without losing identity. Improved access to education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods would support holistic well-being in remote areas.
