Introduction / History

The Mulgi are a small people group in southern Chad.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Most likely they are farmers and cattle herders like their neighbors.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The primary religion practiced by the Mulgi people is animism, or ethnic religion. Ethnic religion is deeply rooted in a people's ethnic identity and conversion essentially equates to cultural assimilation.

What Are Their Needs?

In 2019, there was a new Bible translation project for the Mulgi people. Hopefully there will be audio scriptures and a JESUS Film as well so Mulgi speakers will be able to hear the gospel in their own tongue.

Prayer Points

Pray for an accurate Bible translation and for other Christian materials to soon come after it’s finished.
Pray for a hunger for the Word of God and a desire to follow Christ among the Mulgi people.
Pray for the Lord to send an abundance of qualified translators.
