Introduction / History
The Medebur people live along the beautiful beaches of Madang, about 100 kilometers (60 miles) southwest of Bogia town.
The Medebur people all speak the Medebur language as their primary language. Their language is related to that of four other groups further up the coast. Two groups are Manam and Sepa, both near Bogia town. The two others, Wogeo and Biem, are located on a few small islands in the province of East Sepik (northwest of Madang province). Thank God that at least the Manam group has the New Testament in their language.
What Are Their Lives Like?
The North Coast Highway runs by their land. This connects the Medebur people to services and markets. However, roads are frequently cut by floods during the rainy season, forcing people to travel by boat or by foot in order to reach services and markets.
What Are Their Beliefs?
Almost all are Christian of some denomination.
What Are Their Needs?
God grieves that the Medebur are missing out on intimacy with him because they do not yet have his word.

Pray to the Lord of the harvest to thrust out workers to bring his word to the Medebur people in a language that they understand.
